Toddler Sizes (2T–5T)
US “T” sizes (2T through 5T) are designed for toddlers who are still in diapers or recently potty-trained — the cut is roomier in the seat. EU sizes for this age range are based on the child's height in centimeters.
| US Size | EU Size | UK Size | Approx. Age | Height (in) | Height (cm) | Weight (lbs) | Weight (kg) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2T | 92 | 1–2 yrs | 18–24 mo | 33–35 | 84–89 | 26–29 | 12–13 |
| 3T | 98 | 2–3 yrs | 2–3 yrs | 36–38 | 91–97 | 30–34 | 14–15 |
| 4T | 104 | 3–4 yrs | 3–4 yrs | 39–41 | 99–104 | 35–40 | 16–18 |
| 5T | 110 | 4–5 yrs | 4–5 yrs | 42–44 | 107–112 | 41–45 | 19–20 |
Kids Sizes (4–16 / XS–XL)
From size 4 onward, children's sizes transition to a numeric system in the US (4, 5, 6, 6X, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16) or letter system (XS–XL). EU sizing continues to be height-based. The chest measurement is often the most reliable way to ensure a good fit in tops.
| US Size | Letter | EU Size | UK Size | Height (in) | Height (cm) | Chest (in) | Chest (cm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4 | XS | 104 | 3–4 yrs | 39–41 | 99–104 | 21–22 | 53–56 |
| 5 | XS | 110 | 4–5 yrs | 42–44 | 107–112 | 22–23 | 56–58 |
| 6 | S | 116 | 5–6 yrs | 44–47 | 112–119 | 23–24 | 58–61 |
| 7/8 | M | 128 | 7–8 yrs | 48–51 | 122–130 | 25–26 | 64–66 |

How EU Children's Sizing Works
Unlike US sizing (which blends age, weight, and arbitrary convention), EU children's sizes are purely height-based. EU 110 means the garment is designed for a child up to 110 cm tall. This makes sizing predictable: simply measure your child's height in centimeters and look for that number on EU labels. The primary caveat is that children of the same height can have very different builds, so checking chest and waist measurements is still advisable for fitted garments.
Measurement Tips
- Height: Measure without shoes, standing against a wall with feet flat on the floor.
- Chest: Measure around the fullest part of the chest, just under the armpits, keeping the tape level.
- Waist: Measure around the natural waistline with the tape comfortably loose.
- Inseam: Measure from the crotch to the floor for bottoms.
