Why PPI Matters More Than Resolution Alone

A 4K 75-inch TV has 59 PPI, while a Full HD 24-inch monitor has 92 PPI — meaning the smaller screen is actually denser. At typical TV viewing distances (8–10 feet), 59 PPI is fine. At arm's length from a desktop monitor, 92 PPI is the minimum most people find comfortable. For graphic design work, target at least 110 PPI.

Aspect Ratios Beyond 16:9

Ultrawide monitors use a 21:9 ratio (typically 2560 × 1080 or 3440 × 1440). Super-ultrawide panels reach 32:9 (5120 × 1440).
