Household to Metric Conversions
| Household | Metric (mL) |

| 1 tablespoon | 15 mL |

Dosage Calculation Formula
Volume (mL) = Desired dose (mg) ÷ Concentration (mg/mL)
Example: Ibuprofen Suspension (100 mg/5 mL)
- Need 200 mg dose: 200 ÷ 20 = 10 mL (2 teaspoons)
- Need 300 mg dose: 300 ÷ 20 = 15 mL (1 tablespoon)
- Need 100 mg dose: 100 ÷ 20 = 5 mL (1 teaspoon)
Weight-Based Dosing
Dose (mg) = Weight (kg) × Dose rate (mg/kg)
| Weight (lbs) | Weight (kg) | At 10 mg/kg | At 15 mg/kg |
